In a context of growth and succession planning, our client, a large-scale manufacturing organization, is seeking to appoint a Plant Manager – Strategic Succession (Manufacturing) who will quickly evolve into a full plant leadership role. This is a targeted opportunity for an operational leader looking to take on a key role in a demanding, structured, and performance-driven manufacturing environment.

Your Role

Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will be directly involved in managing and optimizing operations, with a clear mandate: to progressively assume full leadership of the site.

  • Establish and structure continuous improvement processes (lean, optimization, waste reduction)
  • Actively contribute to capital investment and operational optimization projects
  • Ensure a safe environment and maintain a rigorous, proactive HSE (health, safety, environment) culture
  • Deliver results tied to key performance indicators:
    • Production capacity
    • Operating costs
    • Quality
    • Overall operational performance
  • Lead, engage, and develop teams (direct and indirect supervision)
  • Maintain a strong presence on the shop floor (hands-on management, ongoing communication)
  • Collaborate with corporate functions (finance, HR, sales, maintenance)

Profile Sought

We are looking for a credible operational leader capable of navigating complexity and delivering tangible impact quickly.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business Administration
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a management role within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of operations: production, maintenance, continuous improvement
  • Exposure to financial aspects (budgets, costs, performance)
  • Experience in lean / just-in-time / process optimization environments
  • Bilingual (French / English)
