Are you passionate about fluid mechanics and enjoy being out in the field to understand your clients’ technical challenges? This position offers you the opportunity to leverage your expertise in the mining and industrial sectors by offering tailored and effective solutions. As a Technical Sales Representative, you will play a key role in supporting your major clients while developing new strategic alliances.
Main Responsibilities:
- Cover a portion of the various business sectors in Abitibi, primarily based in Val d’Or.
- Sell products to customers in your assigned market segment within your assigned territory and make appropriate representations.
- Establish and maintain strong partnerships with clients and prospects by providing appropriate solutions and building trust.
- Actively participate in the annual sales plan, including revenue and margin objectives, to achieve established goals and increase the company’s market share.
- Provide technical support to customers regarding the products and services offered.
- Follow up with customers on current products to optimize parts sales and after-sales service.
- Work in partnership with selected suppliers to prepare customer proposals.
- Participate in trade shows and internal and external training sessions.
Your Qualifications:
- Technical training: DEC in mechanical engineering, electromechanical engineering, or a related field.
- At least 6 years of technical experience (sales – project management).
- 3 years of experience with a client in the mining sector would be an asset.
- Ability to think outside the box to troubleshoot, identify, and resolve problems creatively in a timely manner.
- Interest in the technical side (mechanics – hydraulics), curiosity for learning, and a practical mindset to find appropriate solutions.
- Demonstrated communication skills with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of decision-making.
- Results-oriented, team player who is also confident working independently.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
