Technical Sales Representative


Field: Fluid Mechanics | Served Sectors: Municipal and Industrial

Position Summary

Do you have a strong background in fluid mechanics and are looking to grow in a role where your technical expertise is leveraged in high–value, consultative sales environments?

This position allows you to represent customized technical solutions to a well‑established client portfolio, primarily within the municipal sector, while also developing a strong and sustained presence in the industrial sector.

The assigned territory covers the Greater Québec City area, from Trois‑Rivières to the Maritime provinces border. It is a structured, active, and promising territory, offering strong medium‑ and long‑term growth potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Present and recommend technical solutions to municipalities, as well as engineering consulting firms and specialized contractors within the assigned territory
  • Build, maintain, and strengthen long‑term relationships with municipal stakeholders, engineers, and technical partners
  • Identify new business opportunities related to municipal and industrial infrastructure projects
  • Analyze territory potential and contribute to the implementation of the regional business plan
  • Ensure rigorous follow‑up of activities, opportunities, and projects through the CRM system
  • Provide technical support on equipment and participate in the preparation of bids and proposals
  • Work closely with suppliers to obtain required technical and commercial information
  • Handle client inquiries and resolve issues to ensure professional service and optimal customer satisfaction
  • Follow up on projects, parts, and after‑sales services
  • Participate in industry‑related professional events, training sessions, and technical exhibitions
  • Act as a liaison between municipalities, engineers, contractors, and other project stakeholders
  • Participate, as needed, in administrative follow‑ups related to client files

Desired Profile

  • Technical education: College diploma (DEC) in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electromechanical Technology, or a related field
  • Approximately 5 years of experience in technical sales or technical project management
  • Strong knowledge of fluid mechanics (pumps, water treatment and conveyance, processes)
  • Solid understanding of market stakeholders: municipalities, engineering consulting firms, specialized contractors
  • Ability to deliver technical and commercial presentations to professional audiences
  • Autonomous, dynamic, well‑organized, and strong interpersonal skills
  • Full professional proficiency in French, both spoken and written
  • Comfortable with computer tools (CRM, integrated systems)
