Job Description
Under the supervision of the director, the position holder will participate in various mining, industrial and forestry projects in structural and concrete design, with the support of the team. He will also contribute to the growth of the team by training his less experienced colleagues.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Design using CAD tools, calculate and prepare technical documents, mainly in steel and concrete;
- Ensure monitoring, verification and quality control of procedures and deliverables;
- Estimate and plan the work;
- Participate in meetings with the project team (clients, architect and professionals);
- Maintain harmonious relationships with colleagues, suppliers, contractors, customers and all other stakeholders related to the company’s affairs;
- Perform other related duties.
General Skills
- Knowledge of Bluebeam, SAFI, ADA;
- Mastery of the Microsoft Office 365 suite.
- Ability to resolve problems.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in construction engineering or civil engineering, or equivalent;
- Registration on the roll of the Order of Engineers of Quebec;
- 5 to 10 years of experience;
- Experience in mining, forestry and industrial environments (asset);
- Fluency in French and English, both oral and written.
Location : Val-d’Or, Rouyn-Noranda or Laval with the possibility of teleworking.
