Senior Director – Finance and Administration Department

Your mission: Reporting to the CEO, you will be responsible for strategic planning, financial governance, and the optimization of administrative processes, with a direct impact on the sustainable management of the real estate portfolio and the quality of life of citizens.

Your Main Responsibilities

Human and Organizational Leadership

  • Lead three strategic departments: Finance, Procurement, and Administration.
  • Supervise three divisions and manage a team of approximately 100 employees, including unionized staff.
  • Foster a motivating environment based on collaboration, respect, and transparency.
  • Ensure harmonious team management and compliance with collective agreements.
  • Promote operational excellence, cohesion, and commitment to a mission with a strong human focus.

Strategic Vision and Governance

  • Define and implement financial and administrative guidelines aligned with the organization’s priorities.
  • Assess challenges, analyze risks, and recommend innovative strategies.
  • Participate in management committees and contribute to organizational decision-making.

Financial Management and Accountability

  • Oversee financial operations: management accounting, internal and external audits, and financial controls.
  • Develop and manage annual budgets, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and continuous monitoring.
  • Produce and analyze financial reports necessary for decision-making.

Optimization and Transformation

  • Modernizing administrative and financial processes by integrating appropriate digital solutions.
  • Optimizing operational efficiency, control mechanisms, and overall service performance.
  • Supporting managers with financial analyses, projections, and decision-making tools.

Business Relations and Governance

  • Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure clear, consistent, and strategic communication of financial information.
  • Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and internal policies.

Human Resources Management and Organizational Culture

  • Mobilizing, supporting, and developing talent within your team.
  • Fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Embodying inspiring, human, and exemplary leadership.

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in administration, finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in financial management, including 5 years in a management position.
  • CPA designation: a significant asset.
  • Mastery of public/private sector accounting principles, budget management, and auditing.
  • Knowledge of the challenges related to managing a real estate portfolio: a major asset.
