Job Description
Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Director of Finance and Administration will be responsible for planning and supervising all of the mutual company’s financial operations. You will be responsible for financial statements, compliance with laws and regulations, and the financial health of the organization. You will ensure effective management of the finance and administration teams while ensuring risk management.
Main Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with general management to establish annual objectives and ensure rigorous monitoring. Participate in the development of strategic directions and perform the necessary reporting.
- Financial Management: Plan, organize and coordinate financial activities. Ensure the production and accuracy of financial statements. Analyze financial results, establish budget assumptions, and recommend solutions.
- Internal Control and Compliance: Implement and monitor internal controls. Verify compliance with laws and regulations, including the requirements of the AMF and government institutions.
- Human Resources Management: Supervise, mobilize and develop the finance and administration team. Plan staffing needs, manage employee performance and promote their development.
- Material Resources Management: Approve maintenance expenses and contracts within the budget. Ensure supply management.
- Interdepartmental Collaboration: Work in synergy with other departments and the Group (Federation). Participate in special projects and ensure smooth communication with teams.
- Compliance Assurance: Develop processes to ensure compliance and raise team awareness of its importance.
Desired Profile
- Training and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
- CPA designation required.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting, including 3 years in team management.
- Technical skills:
- Excellent command of the MS Office suite, particularly Excel.
- Functional knowledge of English, an asset.
- Personal skills:
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Team spirit, autonomy, rigor, integrity and respect for confidentiality.
- Mobilizing leadership and ability to effectively manage a team.
