They are looking for a Chief Electrical Engineer to join their multidisciplinary team in Montreal. In this strategic role, you will supervise the engineering phases of various electrical projects related to mineral processing as well as industrial projects (CAPEX and OPEX). You will work in collaboration with chemists, engineers and technicians in an environment that fosters innovation and encourages excellence.
Your responsibilities will include advanced design and supervision of complex electrical projects, as well as project management. You will also have the opportunity to train and mentor junior and intermediate engineers, ensuring the sustainability of expertise through knowledge transfer.

Key responsibilities as a Lead Electrical Engineer:
- Project Design and Development: Lead the design and development of electrical systems for mineral processing and industrial projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations while integrating innovative solutions.
- Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution and completion of electrical engineering projects, managing timelines, budgets (CAPEX and OPEX) and resources to ensure successful delivery within the defined scope.
- Team Leadership and Mentoring: Provide leadership to a multidisciplinary team of engineers and technicians, fostering a collaborative environment and mentoring junior and intermediate engineers to improve their skills and knowledge.
- Technical Supervision: Conduct technical reviews and provide advice on electrical engineering practices, ensuring the highest quality of work and compliance with safety and environmental standards.
- Collaboration with Stakeholders: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including project managers, clients and regulators, to ensure alignment with project objectives and requirements.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation in electrical engineering practices, contributing to the development of sustainable and efficient solutions for mineral processing and industrial applications.
Skills sought in a Chief Electrical Engineer:
- Holder of a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field;
- Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec;
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience;
- Experience in autonomous power generation plants based on generator sets;
- Knowledge of ETAP software, an asset;
- Knowledge in the choice of protective equipment;
- Experience in consulting engineering and operating plants (an asset);
- ASP Construction certification;
- Bilingualism (French-English) both orally and in writing;
- Adaptability, rigor and organizational skills;
- Excellent team player and good communicator;
- Mobile and available to travel.
Employment conditions:
- Salary of $120,000 to $165,000, depending on experience
- RRSP, Insurance and other benefits.
