Chief Civil Engineer

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Civil Engineer Lead to lead our client’s civil, structural and architectural engineering services. You will be responsible for effectively managing projects, managing your team and developing client relationships. You will play a key role in optimizing performance and identifying new opportunities.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

• Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering;
• Approximately 15 years of experience;
• OIQ Member;
• Team management skills;
• Knowledge of resource planning and estimating;
• Proficiency in applicable codes of practice;
• Excellent communication skills (English and French).

Key Accountabilities:

• Lead the design and engineering team;
• Collaborate with third parties and different project disciplines;
• Control costs and meet budgeted deadlines;
• Manage resources including employees, contractors and sub-consultants;
• Ensure the quality of engineering work;
• Develop engineering standards and procedures;
• Supervise and develop the structural team.
