Within our client’s team, the automation and control specialist designs and plans mechanical systems for various valve manufacturing equipment. Working closely with automation specialists, electromechanical technicians and end users, he/she supports manufacturing methods in plants across North America.
Main responsibilities:
- Implementation of new equipment (robotic welding, test bench, CNC, etc.);
- Design and programming of production equipment;
- Design of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic plans;
- Programming of PLCs, variable speed drives, servomotors, and HMIs;
- Installation and programming of robots;
- Design of automated systems and control panels;
- Coordination of technicians and electromechanics;
- Maintenance support and machine diagnostics;
- Technical problem solving;
- Participation in various projects as a technical advisor.

If the following describes you:
- College diploma in electrical engineering, automation, electrical engineering, or a vocational diploma in electromechanics with relevant experience;
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position;
- Experience in electricity, automation, mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, and robotics;
- PLC programming (FANUC, Omron, an asset);
- Mastery of medium and low voltage electrical principles and standards;
- Ability to take electrical measurements (live);
- CNC control programming (FANUC, MAZAK, Toshiba), an asset;
- Bilingualism (French/English) both spoken and written.
