Within our client’s team, the automation and control specialist designs and plans mechanical systems for various valve manufacturing equipment. Working closely with automation specialists, electromechanical technicians and end users, he/she supports manufacturing methods in plants across North America.

Main responsibilities:

• Implementation of new equipment (robotic welding, test bench, CNC, etc.);
• Design and programming of production equipment;
• Design of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic plans;
• Programming of PLCs, variable speed drives, servomotors, and HMIs;
• Installation and programming of robots;
• Design of automated systems and control panels;
• Coordination of technicians and electromechanics;
• Maintenance support and machine diagnostics;
• Technical problem solving;
• Participation in various projects as a technical advisor.

If the following describes you:

• College diploma in electrical engineering, automation, electrical engineering, or a vocational diploma in electromechanics with relevant experience;
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position;
• Experience in electricity, automation, mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, and robotics;
• PLC programming (FANUC, Omron, an asset);
• Mastery of medium and low voltage electrical principles and standards;
• Ability to take electrical measurements (live);
• CNC control programming (FANUC, MAZAK, Toshiba), an asset;
• Bilingualism (French/English) both spoken and written.
