For our client, a well-established manufacturer and distributor of technical products in the field of civil and structural engineering, we are looking for an Applications Engineer who will be responsible for providing technical leadership to clients, working closely with the sales teams , marketing. You will play a crucial role in translating the value of technical solutions for existing and new customers by providing them with an integrated consultative sales experience.

- Base salary $100 -120,000
- Commissions and bonuses with an average of 25%

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with account managers to provide technical leadership to clients, translating the full value of technical solutions.
- Lead technical needs assessment, solution creation and validation with a consultative approach through all stages of the sales process.
- Develop and maintain close relationships with the main technical players and prescribers, such as consulting engineering offices (civil and structural, geotechnical), general contractors, architectural firms and other stakeholders in the product specification process.
- Train technical stakeholders through a variety of methods such as content creation, webinars, and in-person or remote lunch and learns.
- Collaborate closely with engineering and R&D teams to become an expert on the company’s products and services to ensure sales growth.
- Support the company in introducing new solutions to the market and coordinate the implementation of technology pilot projects to demonstrate the value of our products to various customers.
- Work with the marketing team to develop new tools and content (explanatory notes, design guidelines) aimed at helping customers understand products and services.
- Be the voice of customers and present industry trends, challenges and opportunities to the management team to assist in the development of new market segments.
- Act as a point of contact for the deployment of technical solutions at the pre-sales stage.
- Assist in the preparation and presentation of customer proposals, such as Requests for Proposals and Requests for
- Quotes, and various other business development initiatives that require technical expertise.
- Carry out regular commercial analyzes with key accounts to maximize sales opportunities.
Requirements:
- BAC in Engineering (civil or structural) or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in engineering services and/or technical sales.
- Experience supporting products and projects for municipalities, builders, commercial developers or consulting engineers.
- Willingness to travel frequently to Eastern Canada and occasionally to the United States.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with people at all levels of an organization.
- Ability to solve problems systematically and establish priorities.
- Experience with customer relationship management tools, project management tools and knowledge base tools would be an asset.
- Optimistic, collaborative and solution-oriented.
- Perfectly bilingual in French and English.
